Melissa Hess - Treasurer

About Me

My daughter will be in the 6th grade at Langston next year, and I am eager to participate in the school as much as possible. I am currently employed full-time as the Senior Manager of Budgeting and Financial Planning at Ahold Information Services in Greenville.

I believe that the combination of my professional experience as well as my desire to stay involved in my daughter's educational process provide me with a unique blend of qualifications for the Treasurer position.

Responsibilities

  1. The development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and Long Term Plans (LTPs) for a US budget of $80M.

  2. Period variance analysis and narratives for the total US IT spend of approximately $200M annually.

  3. Ensuring appropriate executive approvals are obtained for all Capital investments, and providing period reporting of the actual spend vs. approved funding.

  4. Financial analysis for large project initiatives.
