Ways and Means Director
The Ways and Means Director will abide by the adopted school mission, vision and core values as a member of the Board and will participate in the annual new student Family Intake Conferences.
The Ways and Means Director will be responsible for developing an annual fundraising strategy and report to the Board on the various ongoing fundraising activities of the school. The Director shall ensure that the school host at least one school wide fundraising event during the year. The funds raised from these activities will support the annual operation budget of the school.
The Ways and Means Chairman will be most effective by coordinating the overall fundraising plan and delegating fundraising implementations to various committees.
Duties
•·Work with the Director of Campus Affairs to identify volunteers who will serve as committee chairs and members of fundraising activities.
•·Ensure an annual fundraising event occurs each year with a proposed date presented to the board no later than the September meeting of the school year. The purpose of this event is to raise money and build a sense of community within the student body and families.
•·Support those volunteers working on various ongoing fundraising committees (Spirit Nights, Booster cards, Box Tops, etc...) by offering assistance with timetable, planning and documentation of events.
•·May organize and/or facilitate new fundraisers.
•·Coordinate solicitations in the community with the Langston Foundation Capital Campaign.
•·Work with Board Treasurer propose an annual strategy for fundraising, track fundraising totals and align any designated funds with goals and objectives of annual budget.

•·Demonstrated strong work ethic and reputation for ethical conduct.
•·Ability to delegate.
•·Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•·Must be able to organize and prioritize responsibilities.
Desired qualifications
•·Prior successful experience with school PTA and/or fund raising.
