ENROLLMENT
Historically, Langston has always received more applications than there are available openings for the coming year. As a result, in accordance with South Carolina Charter School law, Langston admits all students through a lottery process.
To be included in the enrollment lottery, all applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

Attend one of three Application Orientation Meetings held prior to the lottery;

Complete and submit a lottery application by the required due date.

EXCEPTION: Parents of CURRENTLY ENROLLED Langston students are not required to attend a meeting in order to make an application for a younger sibling.
These requirements are mandatory each year for all new applicants, even those applicants who have siblings either currently enrolled or enrolled in past years. All applicants meeting the above requirements will be entered in the enrollment lottery, with results posted immediately following the lottery on the front doors of the school.
What about younger brothers and sisters? Do they have to go through the lottery too?
In order to be considered a "sibling applicant" and bypass the enrollment lottery, an applicant must meet certain criteria.
APPLICATION
Enrollment for the 2019-2020 School Year
Please carefully read the Enrollment Process information provided on this page. The enrollment procedures will be followed precisely. In fairness to all applicants, no exceptions will be made.
Application Orientation Meetings for 2019-2020 enrollment were held in the LANGSTON GYM.
Meetings were held at the following times:

Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 7:00PM

Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00AM

Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 7:00PM
Attendance at one of these meetings was a required part of completing the application process unless the family has a currently enrolled Langston student.
The Application deadline was Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 4:00PM. All completed applications must have been received in the school office by this time in order to be included in the enrollment lottery.
The Enrollment Lottery for 2019-2020 will be held at the school office on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 5:00PM. Results will be posted immediately afterward.
Wait List Applications are now being accepted. The link to the wait list application is on the right side of this page. All wait list applications will be placed after the names drawn in the lottery, in the order they are received in the school office.
SCHOOL TOURS
School tours were conducted during the month of October, in preparation for the enrollment lottery.
No tours are scheduled at this time.
The 2018-2019 Lottery History
Enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year was determined by lottery on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.
To be included in the enrollment lottery, applications were due in the school office by 4:00PM on Friday, November 3, 2017.
All applications received after this time are placed on the wait list in the order they are received, following those drawn in the lottery held on November 14, 2017.
