COVID PROTOCOL

We are excited to welcome all our students back for another wonderful year at Langston. Unfortunately, COVID is still an issue, and we want to make it a priority when it comes to the health of our students.  Please find our COVID protocol we will be following below:

Masks will not be mandated but are encouraged.

All staff, students and volunteers are asked to stay home if they are feeling ill.

We encourage good hygiene including proper hand washing and facial covering with sneezing. Wipes and hand sanitizer are available throughout the school.

We will maintain social distancing of 3 feet for students when the room size allows.

If you have developed symptoms of COVID, please quarantine at home and consult your medical provider about getting tested.  Symptoms include: fever of 100.4 or greater, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, new loss of taste and smell.  If the results are negative, your student may return to school.  If the test is positive, they must report the case to the school and stay home for 5 days (starting from the date symptoms began or from the test date, unless advised differently by your medical professional). Students that have a positive test must be fever free for 24 hours, without medication, and have symptoms that are improving to return to school. A mask will be required for days 6-10 after the isolation.
