We are excited to welcome all our students back for another wonderful year at Langston. Unfortunately, COVID is still an issue, and we want to make it a priority when it comes to the health of our students.  Please find our COVID protocol we will be following below:

Masks will not be mandated but are encouraged.

All staff, students and volunteers are asked to stay home if they are feeling ill.

We encourage good hygiene including proper hand washing and facial covering with sneezing. Wipes and hand sanitizer are available throughout the school.

We will maintain social distancing of 3 feet for students when the room size allows.

If you have developed symptoms of COVID, please quarantine at home and consult your medical provider about getting tested.  If your student has been exposed to a person that has tested positive, we will have them stay home for 5 days and quarantine. Your student should be tested after 4 days. If the results are negative, your student may return to school. A mask will be required for days 6-10. If you choose not to test your student, or the test is positive, they must stay home for 5 days (starting from the date symptoms began or from last date of exposure, unless advised differently by your medical professional). Students that have a positive test must be fever free for 24 hours, without medication, and have symptoms that are improving to return to school. A mask will be required for days 6-10 after the isolation.

Those that are vaccinated, or that have recovered from COVID within the last 3 months, will not be required to quarantine unless they develop symptoms. It is also recommended that they get tested 4-5 days after exposure even without symptoms. A mask is also required for 10 days if they have been exposed, even with vaccination.
